Teaching Statement

With a deep understanding of the professional-level orchestral, chamber and solo repertoires, I work with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. My own musical foundation began in the Suzuki method. As a teacher, I rediscovered Suzuki and was so inspired by the community I found there that I went on to earn a Master's in Suzuki Pedagogy.

I strive to create a studio atmosphere that nurtures the whole person, not only the cellist— building an understanding of each student’s unique strengths and individual goals. Whether you're seeking lessons for your child, preparing for an audition or returning to music as an adult, my goal is to help you play with ease, excellence, and joy.

  • I teach all ages and experience levels.

  • Absolutely! Visit my contact page or click the button below to set one up today. Students may schedule a trial lesson and register at any point in the year if I have space.

  • I currently teach Tuesday through Saturday. Fall semester runs September–December and Spring semester runs January–May. Summer lessons are done on a rolling basis as my availability allows.

  • Lessons take place in my home studio in North Denver, or online through Zoom for students not based in the area.

  • Yes! Students interested in non-traditional lessons are welcome to get in touch.
